G.I.R.L.S. DREAM BIG ANNUAL LOCK-IN (Growing Into Respectful Leaders Successful)

G.I.R.L.S. DREAM BIG ANNUAL LOCK-IN

(Growing Into Respectful Leaders Successful)

Date: November 2, 2013

Time: 9:00pm – 9:00am

Donation: $20.00

GIRLS: Ages 9 & up

Every year LaChaney’s is proud to host G.I.R.L.S. Dream Big Lock-in to introduce our young ladies the importance of setting goals, staying focused, and being a leader and not a follower.

We bring in guest speakers to talk about peer pressure, the importance of education, healthy choices and understanding our changing bodies.

We utilize this Lock-In for girls to speak what is on their mind, questions and concerns they may have about their changing bodies, as well as the subject of boys. (Yes, parents this comes up every year – but our goal is to teach them that their body is a precious temple and to not let anyone take advantage of them through lies or peer pressure.)

As a mother, mentor, and teacher I believe this program is very crucial to our young ladies. This year we plan to further our program by having monthly meetings with our G.I.R.L.S. – We will be sending out quarterly newsletters to all of our G.I.R.L.S. (members).

Parents will be required to complete a waiver for the girls to participate in the overnight lock-in. Doors will OPEN at 9pm and LOCKED by 9:15pm, so please arrive on time. Participants must arrive already dressed in their pajamas and bring their own sleeping bags.

NO CELL PHONES WILL BE ALLOWED! Dinner will be provided. We welcome all girls ages 9 and up, and yes it is okay for them to invite their friends, siblings, and cousins. In order to accommodate all participants we ask that you sign up by Wednesday, October 30th.
